Return To School March 2021 - PE Kit Days

Children's Mental Health Week 2021

We are celebrating CMHW 2021 by engaging pupils in a series of activities. These activities are designed to help them to recognise how they can positively impact their own mental health and wellbeing

As part of our wellbeing work, we have been looking at 'The 5 Ways to Wellbeing'.

One of these is 'Be Active' and we have set children a target of 1000 skips or 1000 jumps in a week.

These can be done over the course of the week (200 a day x 5) and our challenge is to help more children to meet the government reccomendation of 60 mins per day of physical activity.

Pupils can also increase their activity levels by joining in with the PE tasks which we have been uploading to Google Classrooms or they could have a go at some of the challenges on the Yorkshire Sport #ThisIsPE website or at www.primarypeplanning.com/homepe.

During this time of school closure we will endeavour to provide opportunities for children to stay active whilst staying safe. We will also look to provide children with quizzes or activities which they can do at home and are linked to the topics which we cover in PE.

Please remember to engage in some sort of physical activity each and every day if possible.
