Attainment

Assessment in primary schools was reformed in 2016 and a new ‘expected standard’ has been created which reflects a higher standard that in 2015.

Results are no longer reported as levels; each child receives a scaled score from 80 -120.

Children in Year 6 took part in the new testing and assessment arrangements in 2016.  Pupils’ knowledge and understanding of the new curriculum was assessed. This curriculum provides greater challenge with higher expectations set for the end of KS2. 

Bowlee Park’s % of pupils achieving ‘expected standard’ for 2016 are listed below with the national average being given in brackets.

Reading:

Average scaled score: 107 (103)

% of pupils achieving expected standard or above: 87% (66%)

% of pupils achieving a high standard: 20% (19%)

Grammar, Spelling and Punctuation:

Average scaled score: 109 (104)

% of pupils achieving expected standard or above: 90% (72%)

% of pupils achieving a high standard: 33% (23%)

Writing

% of pupils achieving expected standard or above: 92% (74%)

% of pupils achieving greater depth: 34% (15%)

Maths

Average scaled score: 107 (103)

% of pupils achieving expected standard or above: 92% (70%)

% of pupils achieving a high standard: 26% (17%)

Reading, Writing and Maths Combined

% of pupils achieving expected standard or better in reading, writing and maths: 87% (53%)

% of pupils achieving a high score in reading, writing and maths: 7% (5%)

 

This means Bowlee Park is above the national average for the % of pupils achieving the ‘expected standard’ and the % achieving a ‘high standard’ in all subjects Progress
