Your English homework for this week will be completed using IXL. Log on to your IXL account (username and password from the back of your reading record) and complete the following activities:
- 'Articles' E.1, E.2 and E.3
Your Maths homework will be completed on TTRockstars. On your TTRockstars account, go to the 'Soundcheck' section. Complete at least 15 soundchecks. Soundcheck tests you on all times tables in the same way as the National Multiplication Check will at the end of year 4. It may seem tricky at first but the more you practise the better you'll be.
9:00 am - Counting/Timestables (30 minutes)
This week's focus is the three times table. Watch the video below and join in if you can. Once you have watched the three times table song, log on to your TTRockstars account (your username and password are in the back of your reading record) and use 'Garage' to practise.
9:30 am - Maths
Today's maths lesson will focus on subtracting a 3-digit number from another 3-digit number where exchanging is needed. Watch Miss Millar's explanation of how to solve questions like this then complete Column B of your worksheet practising using written method for subtraction.
Once you complete today's maths lesson, log on to Mathletics (username and password in the back of your reading record) and complete the 'Autumn - Add and Subtract - Subtracting Colossal Columns' activity.
10:50 am - English
In Today's English lesson, we will be continuing our innovated narrative based on the Traditional tale 'The Pied Piper of Hamelin'. We will be writing the Trumpeter's conversation with the Mayor focussing on punctuating the speech correctly and we will also be describing how the Trumpeter rids the town of its vine problem. Click on the video below to watch Mr. Turner guide you through writing the next two paragraphs of your own alternative version.
11:50 am - Reading
Please read either your school Accelerated Reader book or if you have finished that, log on to Bug Club (using the link below) and read one of your newly allocated books from the 'my stuff' section. Your username and password are in the back of your reading record. Your school code is 'bowl'.

This afternoon, start our art appreciation topic by looking in detail at a painting by David Hockney. Read through the slides below to find out a bit about who David Hockney was and what style he painted in. Remind yourself of key art terms such as 'tone' and use these to describe David Hockney's - My Parents. A link to the image can be found below.
