Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Bowlee Park Community Primary School.

Our school was inspected by OFSTED in March 2010 and was graded outstanding.

‘This outstanding school is an extremely happy learning community successfully providing education and care of the highest quality for all its pupils.’

‘Outstanding teaching and curriculum provision that really capture pupils' interests and actively engage them in purposeful learning ensure that they make excellent progress. Achievement is outstanding.’  OFSTED 2010

Our school is situated within a vibrant community in Middleton, part of the borough of Rochdale. It is a large, thriving primary school for children aged 3-11. There are approximately 600 children on roll in 20 classes. We have a wonderful school building equipped with the latest technology and high quality resources to give our pupils an excellent start to their education.

We provide the highest quality of education for all our children. We combine excellent teaching in an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.  We seek to capture pupils’ interests, extend their knowledge and skills, and raise their aspirations. Our teaching and learning is designed to bring subjects to life, both in the classroom and through a variety of inspiring experiences in the wider community. We encourage children to take an active role in their education, developing the skills they need for independent learning.

We believe pupils gain most when there is a high level of parental engagement and participation. Support from home is one of the most important influences on a child’s education and we aim to work closely with all of our parents and carers. As we strive to further improve our school, the support and feedback from parents and carers is vital and much appreciated.

Our expectations in terms of both learning and behaviour are high and the children respond with enthusiasm, politeness and consideration for others. Our broad curriculum and rich programme of extra-curricular activities provide a well-rounded education, supported by excellent pastoral care.

I hope you enjoy browsing our web-site, we have tried our best to make it attractive, informative and easy to navigate, if you have any comments or feedback we would be pleased to receive them via our office email that can be found in the ‘contact us’ section of the site.

Together with my team of dedicated staff and governors, I invite you to visit our school to see for yourself the fantastic opportunities it offers your child.

I look forward to welcoming you to Bowlee Park.
