Colour Changing Flowers
Did you know you can change the colour of white flowers by placing them in a pot of food colouring and water?
This investigation is great for learning about how water is transported through plants.
You will need
White flowers
Food colouring
Water
Small jars/ bottles
Method
Trim the flowers at the stalks so that they fit into the jars without falling over.
Fill the jars/ bottles with water and add a little food colouring. If you are using more than one colour, make sure you use separate jars.
Place the flowers into the jar and leave for a few hours.
