You can make your very own flute type instrument with straws. The size of the straw changes the pitch of the sound!
Sounds are made when an object vibrates, which makes the air around an object vibrate as well! When the vibrations reach our ears, a message is sent to the brain to say a noise has been heard.
You will need
Straws
Cellotape
Method
Cut around 8 straws so each is a different length.
Cellotape them so that they are together in a row.
Blow over the top of the straws to see what different sounds you can make!
